OUR VISION

Carson’s deep yearning is to carry hope to every corner of the world so that each person can experience its impact.  Why?  Because hope propels change in our lives.  He carries this through the many avenues he travels in daily life:

Husband. Father. Son. Friend. Communicator. Pastor. Encourager. Advocate. 

This journey started for Carson as a volunteer with his church and progressed forward through an internship as well as achievement of his Bachelors Degree in Government Science and National.  He saw the way staff at his church encouraged volunteers and students to step into the empowering position of coaching others to recognize that even a small pocket of hope for change can unfold into actionable transformation.  Subsequently in his own on-staff positions first as Production Director and now as College Ministries Pastor for the church, he has set this as the foundation for the way he leads teams and participates as a member within those same communities.

Every one of us is positioned to choose to demonstrate characteristics of leadership, even those without fancy titles.  But many of us wrestle with our world’s lack of consistent, clear vision for leadership and the importance of building inclusive community.  Through his organization, Hope Changes Us, Carson encourages and inspires us by providing practical next steps we can take in our dual-role walk as both leaders and members of communities no matter where we are right now.
